There is no denying Mario Lopez’ charisma and charm. But does he have what it takes to be President of the United States? Several Latin blogs think so and even got the Extra host to comment about it.

The political talk began in April, after Conan O’Brien joked that he would be a good candidate for first Latino Prez. Interestingly enough, the buzz has continued to build, prompting Mario’s response.
“I remember when Conan O’Brien said that,” Lopez said this week. “I’m very flattered. In fact, I like politics and I love staying true to my community. You never know, maybe later on it would be something I would want to get into.”
Of course, Mario did take the Presidential talk with a grain of salt. He jokingly added that a nationwide “Tortilla Bill” would be one of his first initiatives in office.
